Changes to Selling of uniform
Please note we have changed the timings for uniform sale for the week of the 24th August. We will only be selling uniform from 10am -12pm each day. You will have to send an order of what you want to purchase through to the office on either the office email or the text message service.
Due to current circumstances we will only be allowing a few parents on site at one time. Please ring the buzzer on the pedestrian gate and the office staff will admit you to the office area. Here you must wait outside, at the cones, then one person will be admitted into reception at a time so as to prevent too much mixing of adults and to keep both you and my staff safe.
Unfortunately uniform cannot be tried on. We recommend you measure your child and check measurements on the website price list so that you are ordering the correct size.
Uniform can be paid by cash or cheque but exact cash must be in an envelope with the total amount and child’s name on it. We are unable to give change currently.
We understand this may be frustrating but you can also buy uniform from other supermarkets. All we ask is that the jumpers/cardigans are royal blue in colour.
Although uniform is not compulsory at Imperial Avenue Infant School, we do encourage our pupils to wear it. Our school colour is royal blue and our uniform items consist of polo shirt (white), sweatshirt and/or cardigan. In addition we have t-shirts, winter fleeces and reversible water-resistant fleeces, as well as a school PE kit and bag. Book Bags are also available currently at a cost of £4.00. If you wish to purchase any of these items please complete an order form and see the school office. Please send children to school in sensible shoes that they can play in and no high heels for girls. Help us by labelling all clothing and footwear.
Please note that as we reorder stock we are only using the school name as our logo.
We would ask that you dress your child appropriately and according to the weather. Please avoid items of clothing such as sun dresses, beach dresses, spaghetti strap dresses, jeans and football kits. Clothing that reveals your child’s back, chest, stomach or underwear is not appropriate. Flip-flops or shoes with no backs are not acceptable as these present a health and safety risk in our school due to the number of steps/stairs. Jewellery of any form is not allowed to be worn.
Children will need shorts and t-shirt preferably in a PE bag (tracksuits are only allowed for outdoor PE). Indoor P.E. will be plimsolls or trainers (bare feet will be allowed at the discretion of the class teacher dependent on the activity taking place). For safety reasons jewellery and watches are not allowed.
