Uniform Information

School Uniform

Although uniform is not compulsory at Imperial Avenue Infant School, we do encourage our pupils to wear it. Our school colour is royal blue and our uniform items consist of t-shirt, sweatshirt, fleeces, jumpers and/or cardigan. PE kit is a t-shirt, shorts, track suit bottoms and plimsoles or trainers - velcro ones are best

School uniform can be purchased from any supermarket and it is not essential for it to have the school name on it.  We also have a stock of second hand uniform which can be purchased too. Sale of second hand items will be advertised on newsletters and through Weduc.  

If you wish to place an order for uniform with the school name on it please visit the school office.  You can either collect and pay for your order at an arranged time or send the correct money with your child in their bookbag.  Once we receive the payment we will send the items home.  Please ensure that you order the correct size as we do not accept returns.  The order form gives details of all items and sizes available.  

Payment for any uniform items at the office is CASH ONLY.  Please try to bring the correct money.

Book Bags are also available currently at a cost of £4.30 - these can only be purchased through ParentPay.

We would ask that you dress your child appropriately and according to the weather. Please avoid items of clothing such as sun dresses, beach dresses, spaghetti strap dresses, jeans and football kits. Clothing that reveals your child’s back, chest, stomach or underwear is not appropriate. Flip-flops or shoes with no backs are not acceptable as these present a health and safety risk in our school due to the number of steps/stairs. Jewellery of any form is not allowed to be worn.

P.E.

Children will need shorts and t-shirt preferably in a PE bag (tracksuits are only allowed for outdoor PE). Indoor P.E. will be plimsolls or trainers (bare feet will be allowed at the discretion of the class teacher dependent on the activity taking place). For safety reasons jewellery and watches are not allowed.

Stikins Name Labels – help to keep your child’s belongings safe

Imperial Avenue Infant School have signed up with ‘Stikins’ to provide name labels to our families. The labels are multipurpose and can be used for clothes, shoes, lunch boxes etc.  Anyone can order the labels – friends, family etc.  If you wish to purchase any labels there are a variety of ways you can do this.

For each order placed quoting Imperial Avenue Infant School’s Fundraising number 10472 we earn 30% commission for the school. The easiest way to place an order is online www.stikins.co.uk. If you use this link the school’s code is automatically filled in for you.  Whatever way you order please remember to quote our fundraising number 10472. 

Second Hand Uniform 

We have a selection of second hand uniform on sale at the School Office, we sell each item for 50p (cash only).  Please come to the School Office if you would like to purchase any.
