Maths

How is our maths curriculum developed?  

In EYFS we use the NCETM Mastering Number Program to embed the fundamentals of number and the EYFS framework supports the development of shape space and measure. This ensures children have secure, broad knowledge of maths to begin their KS1 mathematical journey. Throughout Year 1 and 2 teachers have planned units of maths in line with the National Curriculum which progress throughout the 2 years and give the children opportunities for retrieval practice to allow them to learn more and remember more. Alongside this, children experience a short session outside of the maths lesson to develop their fluency of important number facts using the NCETM Mastering Number Programme.
