Welcome to our Home Learning Zone.
Dear Parents and carers,
This is not how I wanted to end the academic year. I have a tear in my eye as I have not been able to see all my lovely school community in the way I usually would.
Opening school to more children was wonderful whilst it lasted and all staff were extremely sad when the second lock down was given in Leicester.
I first want to say a huge thank you to all the parents and carers for managing home schooling in the way you have and it has been delightful to see some of the work and videos that you have done with your children and sent through to their teacher. You are all amazing.
Another huge thank you to the children, for carrying on with learning in all forms and all with smiles on your faces and many just accepting how things changed and carried on.
It has been a pleasure to remain open for the key worker families, thank you for all you have done to keep the community and country going, staff have thoroughly enjoyed educating and having fun with your children.
Finally another huge thank you to my staff who have coped so well with all the changes. They have manged home learning, communicated with parents, taught in classes when needed, supported getting food out to families, hand delivered reports as needed and have been a credit to the school community. I could not have managed this with out them.
I am extremely sad to be saying good bye to my beautiful and clever year 2 children. You have done yourselves proud whilst you have been at Imperial and for many of you, you have been at the school the same length of time I have which makes me even sadder that I do not get to say a personal thank you and good bye to you all. We will, when it is safe to do so, bring you back for a leavers disco because I know your teachers would also like to say a personal good bye. Rest assured I will be checking in on you in your new schools as many of you are going to schools where I know the head teachers!!! Beware when safe to do so I may come and visit!
So once again it is the end of term. I wish you all a very safe and happy summer holiday and will be in touch with those returning to Imperial at some point in the summer holidays. Keep an eye on the website.
