Group 3 - Spring/Summer Term

What amazing weather we have had for Forest School today! We did a big nature walk around our school grounds and made nature bracelets. Children were also given the option to practise their whittling skills from last week if they wanted to. Some children played their own game of hide and seek around the site. We had a go on the climbing tree and some children were very brave climbing up higher! We also show respect to our trees by giving them a hug and thanking them for all that they do for us!

This week at Forest School we have been making bow and arrows! We have been learning how to safely use peelers to shave the bark off of sticks. We are still working on our perseverance when trying to whittle to a fine point - it is super tricky! We have been finding the correct 'bendy' sticks in order to make bows. We also reminded ourselves of the Forest School rules and played some games.
