We have had a very successful week with the return of year 1. We have welcomed back 30 children and they have settled really well. They are enjoying their learning and have settled into the new routines well.
We will continue to upload home learning for the children who have stayed at home. Unfortunately we will not be able to change reading books from wow on as we have got a lot of children coming and going on school site. Please use the links in the reading star to access a huge amount of online books that you can sort according to book level and age of child.
We ask that you keep hold of your reading books and book bags and we will take them off you when we hope to restart school in the new academic year.
We are now in the Summer term!!!
We hope you have had a lovely time during the Easter holiays in these strange times. We will be posting more work below that links to learning we have already done in school. This will help the children become really secure in their learning and build on their existing skills and knowledge.
If you haven't already connected to your teachers through class dojo, please check your junk emails. Invites have been sent to all parents. You are able to contact any of us through the class dojo system and send us any work you have been doing.
It's the Easter holidays!!
As it is the Easter holidays and you would normally not be at school, we will not be setting daily activities.
We hope you have a lovely time with your families. If you would still like to do some activities you could look back at the previous work and improve some of your work.
You could also....
* Read a favourite story or your school book to someone.
* Have an Easter egg hunt. You could draw a picture of an Easter egg and hide it for someone else to find.
* Have a teddy bear's picnic in your house or garden and tell your teddies a story
* Draw a picture of something you have done
* Count anything!!
* Phone someone that you haven't seen in a while....a grandparent, an auntie/uncle, a cousin and say hello
Remember you can upload any work to class dojo and we will try to check this as often as possible
Happy Easter from everyone at Imperial Avenue Infant School
Dear Year 1 children
We are missing you lots and hope you are doing lots of activities at home. We have added some more ideas to this page. You do not have to do everything you see. They are just ideas that we think your child might like to do. We would love to hear what you have been up to and are in the process of working out a way to do this. Keep checking this page for updates
