Tuesday 2nd June

Today we will be writing the first part of our senses poem and will be thinking about our sense of hearing.  Look at the things you heard yesterday and pick your 4 favourite things.  Look at my poem below and use your hearing ideas instead of mine.  You only need to change the parts that are underlined.  Your poem doesn’t have to rhyme, but you could ask your grown up to help you think of two things that sound the same.

I can hear the birds sing,

The dogs bark, the cat meow,

I can hear the phone ring.

I can hear YOU!

Hopefully you now know your number bonds to ten.  Can you now write the subtraction facts?  For example, if you know 7+3 =10… you should know than 10 – 7 =3.  Remember that when you subtract you need to start with the biggest number (the whole).
