Read the Hindu story of Rama and Sita. Think about what the message is behind this story. What do you think that the story is trying to tell you?
This week we are focusing on fractions in Maths, today we are looking at finding 2/4 and 3/4 of objects/shapes and amounts. If you are unable to print some of these resources you could draw around something to create a shape and see if you can split it equally into quarters. On the PDF below is examples of using a bar model to find a 2/4 and 3/4. However your child may be more comfortable using cookies to solve these factions. They can choose how they would like to solve it. Please refer back to Monday's page to see the cookie method. Remember our stem sentence- All of the parts must be equal or it is not correct. Look at the fraction carefully- how many parts? how many are we interested in?
