KS1 Assemblies

Assemblies take place in the school hall every day. We enjoy whole school assemblies together which our Head teacher and teachers lead.  Each week we focus on a particular theme which may be linked to global or national issues, religious events or topics which link to our chosen studies.  We try to make our assemblies as interactive as we can and our children sometimes take part in the assemblies themselves. We always have a moment of reflection and we enjoy learning and performing new songs.

Every Friday at 2.30pm we have a special assembly to celebrate achievement. Each teacher awards two pupils in their class for good behaviour or exceptional effort in a particular subject area. The parents are then invited to attend the assembly and see their child receive a prize. During this assembly, we celebrate attendance achievement by handing certificates to the top Foundation 2 and Key Stage 1 classes for the highest percentage of achievement.
